Is your cholesterol level perhaps too high? With the cholesterol self-test from The Medical Tester you will find out within 10 minutes. An elevated cholesterol level can result in a narrowing and/or clogging of the arteries. The result can be pain in the calves while walking, pressing pain in the chest and a cerebral infarction with paralysis as a result. This disease can go undetected for decades. Early research can lead to discovery and therefore an effective treatment. The cholesterol prevention self-test is a reliable way to estimate whether your total cholesterol level is within normal limits.

What does the cholesterol self-test do?
With this cholesterol self-test you can reliably estimate whether your total cholesterol level is within normal limits.
Cholesterol is found throughout the body, with most of the cholesterol produced in the liver and a small portion taken directly from the diet. Cholesterol is mainly used in the construction of cell membranes, in the formation of bile salts and in the protection of the skin. The normal range for total cholesterol in the blood is less than or equal to 200 mg/dl. Elevated cholesterol levels are a risk factor for arteriosclerosis, stroke and heart attack.
For whom is the cholesterol self-test?
Anyone can do this cholesterol self-test, but this cholesterol self-test is important for people at risk of an elevated cholesterol level. A diet rich in fat and cholesterol, hypothyroidism, poorly controlled diabetes, chronic liver disease or the use of various medications such as contraceptive hormones (the “pill”) and drainage tablets (diuretics) can contribute to elevated levels of total cholesterol. The so-called “familial hypercholesterolemia” is a hereditary condition and causes an elevated cholesterol level.
This self-test detects the cholesterol level in your blood and meets the requirements of the directive 98/79/EC. After clinical examination of 150 blood samples, 96.6% corresponded to the results from the laboratory reference method.
