This bladder infection test checks the urinary tract for three different bacteria, namely Leukocytes, Nitrite and Protein. These bacteria can be present in the urinary tract (urethra, bladder, ureter and kidneys) and often lead to infections/inflammations.

This test is for anyone who has ever had problems with his or her urinary tract. Men, women and children can get a urinary tract infection, but it is mainly women who suffer from urinary tract infections. Older men may also be more likely to experience it if an enlarged prostate interferes with the flow of urine.
In healthy people, urine is sterile (that is, it does not contain microorganisms). One of the best ways to keep your urinary tract sterile is to completely empty your bladder at regular intervals. In general, an infection starts in the urethra and can then spread into the upper urinary tract as far as the kidneys. The symptoms vary considerably: burning when emptying the bladder, or a strong urge to urinate. The urine may also be cloudy or have a strong odor

Collect your urine in a clean container without cleaning agents.
Then put the test strip in your urine and wait two seconds.
Then wait 60 seconds and read your result. If the amount of leukocytes, blood, nitrites and/or proteins in the urine is greater than normal, the color of the test strip changes.
